Ayesha Khan (born September 27, 1982) is one of the leading Pakistan television and film actresses. Ayesha Khan made her television debut in 2000 in the drama serial “tum Yahi Kehna” which aired on PTV. However, Ayesha Khan received recognition and critical acclaim for her portrayal of a mature and young supportive wife, Sajjal in drama serail Mehndi (drama). Khan went on to work in several highly acclaimed drama serials including Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan, Zip bus chup raho, and Parsa. Khan also won her Best actress at Pakistan Media Award in 2010 for the her role of Gul in drama serial Haroon tou piya teri. In 2013, Ayesha Khan also made her film debut in Bilal Lashari‘s directorial debut film “Waar” for which she garnered positive reviews. Khan presently appears in drama serial Mujhe Khuda Pe Yaqeen Hai in a negative role of Narmeen, a manipulative and mesirable wife.
Khan was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan. She spent much of her childhood in Abu Dhabi and Canada. She adapted Pakistani culture soon after she joined Pakistan’s entertainment industry. She moved to Karachi, Pakistan.
Khan received wide spread critical acclaim for her portrayal of a young supportive wife in drama serial Mehndi which aired in 2003. After her success, Khan continued working in drama serials like Khamoshiyaan, Meri Adhoori Mohabbat Majhe Apna Bana Lo, Mehmaan, Mulaaqaat and Ye sooch na tha along with many other serials that went on air between 2005-2008. However, she once again received wide spread critical praise her roles in drama serials like Maasi aur Malika, Man-O-Salwa, and Bol Meeri Machli, all of which went on air in the year 2009 and earned her wide recognition among masses.
In the year 2010, Khan appeared in five drama serials. Vasl, Parsa and Chooti si kahani, garnered positive reviews from critics and audience. Khan was recognized as one of the leading contemporary actresses in Pakistan. In 2011, her portrayal of Parveen in drama serial Zip Bus Chup raho, earned her wide critical acclaim and also earned bestr actress nominations at high profile Award functions. She next starred in drama serial Tum ho ke chup and Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan, both of which were huge successes. She also appeared in Kaafir in 2011. In 2013, she cureently stars in Mujhe Khda Pe Yaqeen Hai and Shukk. She is also a commercial model.
Khan has been popular with the Pakistani tabloids and paparazzi, especially in regards to the rumors about her marriage with Humayun Saeed, however she cleared the rumours by saying they are ‘very good friends’. She is currently single and resides in Karachi with her mother.
